STRATUM

A residential unit housed in a former chapel, characterized by lightness and a sense of layering. It was important to give the building a contemporary interpretation while preserving the character of the chapel. The dwelling is organized into different levels, each assigned its own function. As there are no walls, a continuous connection is maintained throughout the entire space. Should the residents leave the property, almost the entire interior can be removed, allowing the chapel to be re-purposed in the future.
